Biden EEOC finally fully staffed
Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) Chair Charlotte Burrows was confirmed by the Senate on November 8, 2023, for a third term. She was initially appointed as an EEOC commissioner by President Barack Obama in 2014 and was unanimously reconfirmed by the Senate in 2019. Although her most recent term ended in July of this year, she was allowed to continue without reconfirmation until the end of Congress’s 2023 session. The Democrats will retain the majority until at least 2026 when Vice Chair Jocelyn Samuels’ term ends.
